Cancellation & Service Agreement Policy

Professional DJ Services • Equipment Rental • Wedding Entertainment

This page outlines Sound Unique’s official cancellation terms and service agreement. By booking any service, rental, or entertainment package, clients acknowledge and accept the policies described below.

Cancellation Policy

1. Reservation & Retainer

A signed service agreement and a non‑refundable retainer are required to secure your event date. Once reserved, that date is held exclusively for your event and will not be made available to other clients.

2. Client Cancellation

• More than 60 days before the event: Payments beyond the retainer may be refunded.

• 20 days before the event: Up to fifty percent (50%) of payments beyond the retainer may be refunded.

• 8 days before the event: No refunds will be issued due to staffing, preparation, and scheduling commitments.

• Equipment rental cancellations within 48 hours: Non‑refundable.

3. Rescheduling

Clients may reschedule their event one time without penalty if:

• Written notice is provided at least 30 days before the event date; and
• The new date is available on Sound Unique’s calendar.

Payments already made will transfer to the new date. Additional fees may apply if the revised event requires different services, equipment, or staffing.

4. Reduction of Services

Requests to remove services (such as eliminating a photo booth package, reducing event hours, or changing entertainment options) within 48 hours of the event may not result in a reduction of the contracted price.

5. Client No‑Show

Failure to provide venue access or event‑day communication is considered a cancellation. No refund will be issued.

6. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, power outages, or emergencies. Sound Unique will make reasonable efforts to reschedule services and apply payments toward a future date.

7. Cancellation by Sound Unique

If Sound Unique must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond its control, the client will receive a full refund of all monies paid, including the retainer, or Sound Unique will assist in securing a qualified replacement when possible.

8. Agreement

By signing the service agreement and submitting payment, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Cancellation Policy.
